TIKVA SALA

Every week, up to 100 women and children share a hot, nutritious meal — served at a table, with names learned and remembered. SALA means “living room”: it’s hospitality, not a hand-out line.

A reliable meal is the single fastest way to stabilize a family in crisis — and the table is where every other TIKVA program begins. Women hear about THRIVE training here; kids join tutoring here; trust is built here.

TIKVA THRIVE

Sewing and artisan training that equips women with market-ready skills — cutting, machine work, finishing — plus academic tutoring that strengthens children in reading, writing, and arithmetic.

Displacement erases livelihoods. Skills rebuild them. A woman who can earn daily income changes her family’s entire trajectory — and a child who keeps up in school doesn’t end up working traffic lights.

TIKVA OUTREACH

TIKVA goes to the streets and hillside barrios — building relationships with women and children who would never find their way to a program on their own.

The most vulnerable families are the least likely to walk through a door. So we go to theirs. Outreach is how every María and Valentina first hears that a table is waiting.

TIKVA MISSIONS

Twice a year, teams come to Medellín to serve alongside TIKVA — cooking, teaching, building, and sitting at the table with the families we serve.

Mission teams multiply the work for a week and carry the story home for a lifetime. Many of TIKVA’s most committed monthly partners came on a trip first.

The TIKVA Care Shelter

The missing piece: a safe residence for 15 mothers and their children, with a 4-month program from stabilization to independence. It’s the program our families need most — and the one only steady monthly partners can unlock.
